Are you looking for an alcohol and drug treatment center that will genuinely improve the quality of your life? When you look at one treatment center or the next, does it seem like they speak generally, in vagaries, without really telling you how it is they treat patients? That’s not how we do things here at Licasa Treatment Center. We tailor our treatment to the specific individual. Soon after you arrive here, you’ll be assigned to your clinician. Then, they’ll help you to create a treatment plan to meet your needs, your goals. Our “five core competencies” are always prominently involved.
It Starts with Sobriety
As with so much else, we begin by setting a foundation. Specifically, this foundation will be in the principles of recovery. In addition to your physical, literal sobriety, we want you to establish and maintain an “emotional sobriety” as well. A significant part of that: building unity. To help, we’ve created a safe, supportive, and welcoming community. Once you’re a part of that, we balance it with a scientific approach. Through a Systems model of care, this approach will be governed by evidence-based practices. That way you can start your treatment in the best possible position.
“ARC” Defined
An acronym for “Attachment, Self-Regulation, and Competency,” ARC is actually built upon four areas of study. “Risk and resilience,” “Attachment,” “Traumatic Stress,” and “Normative Childhood Development.” That all may sound like quite a lot, but really, the goal of this particular competence is to keep you from reverting to negative behaviors or patterns when you face stressors in your everyday life. Through this, you’ll be able to refine your impulse control in a dramatic fashion while boosting your emotional regulation, too. That way, you can effectively manage any and all daily challenges on your terms.
Improving Your Emotional Well-Being In Addition to Your Physical Well-Being
Folks who have struggled with addiction often don’t have the healthiest relationships with others as well as with themselves. So, we work on practicing mindfulness, gaining self-awareness, and creating a balanced, medicated emotional tone. That way, you can help to develop real, strong lasting relationships with others and you. Treatment here isn’t all about emotions, however. Through swimming, martial arts, yoga, weight training, healthy nutrition, and more, we help you become healthy and physically fit so as to improve your balance today as well as your long-term health.
The Skills You’ll Need for Success After You Leave Our Alcohol and Drug Treatment Center
Another of our core competencies is “Occupation/Education.” Substance abuse and trauma can arrest or even damage neurological pathways in your brain’s frontal cortex. Learning something new and finding a better direction in life are just some proven ways to repair and strengthen those neurological pathways. The above forms the backbone of our treatment. But, every individual’s treatment is different. To learn more about how we can help, or to make the first step towards improving your life, call us any time at (747) 600-0001.
